Louis doesn’t mind apples. If you cut an apple into bite-sized pieces for him, he’ll graciously accept a slice or two.
You can’t tempt Louis with carrots. This offering received not even a nibble from Louis. He’s just not an orange-vegetable kind of a guy. I split the carrot in half and the two horses, Mousie and Czarina were happy to share it.
Louis knew there was something better on hand. He checked my bucket.
No apples for Louis, no carrots. Louis loves corn!
Isn’t it funny how everyone has their own personal tastes? We find the same with our horses. But to not like carrots? We thought EVERYONE likes carrots! =) Although if that’s sweet corn Louis is eating, well, then we totally understand.
Animals and kids – they’re just the same – all fussy except animals are a lot better at eating their veg!
Hi Kenton and Rebecca! It is funny that he doesn’t care for carrots. If he accepts one and part of it falls out of his mouth, he doesn’t even bother picking it up. When we first got Baby, she wouldn’t eat carrots or apples. She seemed never to have been given any treats. We were forcing them into her mouth and she spat them out for a while! Then she discovered what she was missing and all that changed!
Momcat, kids and animals surely do have a lot in common. I’m glad to say that as my girls have grown up they have gotten better at eating their vegetables!
