Santa brought a little something for the feline members of the family, a combination bed and scratching surface. It has been a hit with all the cats.

The label says it is treated with catnip, and the immediate interest shown by the cats verifies this. I grew catnip in my garden this year and have a good supply of dried catnip with which I can reinforce the initial infusion if interest is flagging.

It got a “paws up” rating all round. I like that it is constructed from 98% post-consumer recycled materials. There are 3 layers of scratchy ripple board, and as one gets ripped up, you can remove it for a fresh start. It’s even made right here in Ontario.
