Yesterday was the last day of February. We had freezing rain during the night. It coated the tree branches with ice. By morning, the freezing rain had given way to just plain rain, a dull, dreary drizzle. Around noon, the rain turned to snow, and there were flurries for several hours. Mid-afternoon, the snow took a break and the sun tried to shine through the clouds briefly, before giving up and surrendering the day to more snow.
But that was yesterday. Today, today it is March! Shiny, happy March is coming in like a lamb, bright and sunny. It is still -4°C, but the sun is slowly but surely regaining its summertime strength. Ice and snow are melting off the tree branches. Today, the future looks bright.
