The photograph above shows Willow House as it appeared the first summer we were here, in 2009. After much contemplation, a decision was made on a new colour scheme and Seabrooke (visit her blog here) got the transformation underway. When she was babysitting the animals for us while we were away for a weekend, she painted the front and back porch. When we got back, RailGuy and I took over.
I like the way it looks as if the house is absorbing its new green colour from the earth itself. The section between the windows was the last patch to be finished because it was difficult to secure the ladder over the ornamental pond, making both Railguy and I very nervous. Finally it was finished. Here’s the new look. Trim and finishing details still need to be atteneded to but we’re pleased with the transformation.
