Gillian posted a sunset photo quite similar to this last night, the same shaped breach in the clouds that reminded us of the monster smashfest “Pacific Rim” we had just watched. Spoiler alert: the humans won.
I recently germinated western coneflower(Rudbeckia occidental) from wild seeds which I had harvested. Had to be germinated w/fire. They are up and gorgeous for the second year. YAY! Was going to include a photo but guess I cannot do that here.
Thanks everyone. Dandyknife, can’t say I am familiar with Pacific Rim, and the spoiler is probably safe. Sunsets are an easy source of great pics.
Natalie, is’s been a great summer for storms.
Gayle, that’s a real accomplishment! I’m impressed with your know-how. I’m sorry, I don’t know how you can leave a photo, but I would like to see them.

Beautiful shot! That was quite the string of storms on Friday!
Love such beauty in its natural state.
